Christmas is over - Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a fabulous christmas!

I was indeed spoilt and spent the day with people I love - and even though I should have spent this year back home in Austria it was still a magical day with the in-laws here in the UK.

Again I have not much time - the small one is stirring and waking up so just a quick post to show you my fabulous frocks I wore on Christmas and Boxing Day - both dresses I have swapped for a gorgeous coat that didn't fit me with my friend Sarah. I love the dresses!

Christmas Day in a green wool dress - I felt very christmassy! And yes there's a birdie coming out of my head!

80s does 40s - totally overdressed on Boxing Day. But I loved it anyway. :-)

Could have done a better job with hair photos though - just rubbish phone pics in the dark hallway...

The upcoming year will be a big one for me - not only will I become Mrs. Bossy and finally get married but I also have a wee little business venture going on. The young Bossy will start proper school which means I will actually brave full time work life again and I also hope that we can add to the family with a baby Bossy. And in terms of vanity I have 4 photoshoots coming up in the first half of the year - plus an engagement and a wedding shoot. Having a bit of an age crisis I do admit that it's good for my ego :-)

I may also get my laptop going again and dive into proper blogging - now that would be something!

Ich lebe noch..... Bin aber derzeit so unmotiviert.... Nix mit bloggen, häkeln, fotografieren.... nichtmal meine E-Mail Korrespondenzen halte ich aufrecht.

Ein bisschen gehäkelt hatte ich aber schon vor Weihnachten, aber nur ein bisschen:

A little bit I did crochet before Christmas but just a little bit:

Ein paar Weihnachtsbaum-Anhänger für unsere Kirchengruppe und eine kleine Amigurumi-Kugel als Weihnachtsgeschenk verschickt.

A few tree ornaments for our church group and an amigurumi bauble that I sent as a christmas gift.

Um diesen Frosch tut es mir besonders leid.... Er war meine erste Auftragsarbeit, das erste Häkeln gegen Geld - und er ist in der Post verloren gegangen!!! Ich hoffe er hat ein schoenes neues Leben gefunden und muss nicht als Paket für immer versauern....

I am really sad about this frog - he was my first custom order, the first thing I ever crocheted for money - and it got lost in the post!!! I hope he has found a good new life and does not have to be a crunched up parcel forever....

Und eine besonders süsse Muffin-Brosche - ein Weihnachtsgeschenk.

Ebenso ein Teaser was hoffentlich bald in meinem zukünftigen Etsy/Dawanda Shop zu finden sein wird....

Mittlerweile ist aber alles wieder in Ordnung, Ruhe ist wieder eingekehrt und langsam, aber sicher widmen wir uns ENDLICH der weihnachtlichen Vorfreude!

But in the meantime all is well again, we're back to normal and slowly but for sure we can dedicate ourselves to the happy anticipation of Christmas!

Also hat mein Sohn am 6. Dezember sein erstes Nikolo-Sackerl bekommen!

On the 6th of december my son recived his first "Nikolo"-bag. Nikolo is our version of Father Christmas/Santa Claus. He originates from the same legend, the same person, but in our tradition he only brings one small present accompanied by nuts, oranges and sweets on the 6th of december. Traditionally the bag was put in a shoe- the custom goes back to the same origin as the anglo-american stockings.

On Christmas Eve the "christmas child" (baby Jesus) brings the presents (and tree) in Austria!

Aber Raymond scheint noch nicht voll in Weihnachtsstimmung zu sein - diesen Anzug hasst er einfach!

But Raymond does not seem to be in proper Christmas mood yet - he just hates this suit!

Als Daddy von der Arbeit nach Hause kam haben wir auch die Hauptgeschenke geöffnet - oder eher versucht zu essen

Der Weihnachtsmann aka Ryan hat mir einen Laptop (ja wirklich!!) beschert!
Wie Carrie Bradshaw sitze ich in meinem Bett und tippe vor mich hin - naja, Carrie hatte nie eine Brust als Babys Kopfpolster raushängen und der Mann neben ihr war immer signifikant älter als der gerade neben mir schnarchende :-)

Santa Claus aka Ryan brought me a laptop (yes really!!!)!
Just like Carrie Bradshaw I am in my bed happily typing away - well, Carrie never had one boob out as baby's headrest and the man next to her was always significantly older than the one snoring next to me at the moment :-)

Er möchte derzeit generell ALLES haben was sich in unseren Händen befindet – am aller liebsten das Telefon!

The little one seems to be teething but he is taking it quite well – dribbles a lot and chews everything that crosses his path :-)

He wants EVERYTHING that is in our hands – the favourite is the phone!

Bin zwar in Weihnachtsstimmung, aber noch nicht voll, da wir nichts dekorieren können – erst wenn das Chaos beseitigt ist! :-)

Though I am in Christmas mood it hasn’t fully kicked in as we can’t decorate yet – only after the chaos has vanished! :-)
